welcome to bairnsdale secondary college
Thank you for visiting our website, it is full of a vast array of information.
It is one of the key tools for communication with our families.
The College is going through a significant period of change, as we re-structure many aspects of our College life.
Everything that we do is about your children and improving the choices and opportunities that they have at the end of their schooling lives.
We will make mistakes and have multiple wins along the way, but the real success will come with working and communicating with our families as we strive for excellence in everything that we do.
After all if you don’t push the boundaries and make some mistakes along the way ……. That’s learning, and that’s what we ask of students every day in the classroom.
The 2020 year has had the most horrendous beginning, with bushfires pretty much from January 1, to now this horrid world-wide pandemic, COVID – 19.
We had families who lost their homes, families evacuated multiple times and more ……… but the resilience and determination of the human spirit and the families of East Gippsland is at all times outstanding and to be admired.
Then last week we began Term 2 with new ways of teaching and learning in homes and schools across Victoria. I am so proud of all the staff at the College for the many hours they have sent preparing and problem solving to support your children and their learning. We will get through this and we will see new and opportunities open up to us, we will move past the difficulties and continue to support each other and all of our children to grow.
I am both privileged and excited to be taking on the new role of Executive Principal of the College. I look forward to working with you, your children, College Council members and the broader community.
Please feel free to contact the College or myself at any time, as we work toward excellence.
